Meet Brady

Diagnoses: Traumatic Brain Injury

"Brady's life was forever altered while riding his bike home on May 31, 2023. Brady was struck by a car, while crossing in the crosswalk, and began the fight of his life. Brady spent the next 2 weeks in a pediatric intensive care unit, fighting to survive, and then the next 4 months in hospitals and rehab facilities working on his recovery. Since he was discharged from inpatient treatment, Brady has spent the last 10 months doing intensive outpatient day rehab, spending upwards of 18 hours a week working with physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy, attempting to regain his life as a 14-year old boy. Brady is one of the strongest, most determined people you will ever meet, leaving lasting impressions on everyone who gets to know him. Brady was doing everything right that day in May and yet, the careless actions of another, changed his life forever. Brady has come so far in his recovery journey and is always striving to regain his independence. Brady does not shy away from the idea of returning to a bike, in spite of his accident, and would love the additional freedom and independence that an adaptive bike would allow him."
